In a world filled with influencers, trends, and endless opinions, we're all following someone and searching for something.

The Bible teaches that the fruit of God's Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  Those are the very things most of us are searching for!

Together, we'll study the New King James Version (NKJV) Bible—from Adam and Eve, through Jesus Christ, and the writings of Paul and the early Church.

We are not studying our opinions, political views, denominations, or cultural trends.

We are studying Scripture and seeking to understand what God actually says.

From there, each student can decide for themselves whether following Jesus leads to the life they desire.

No questions asked.

WE SHEPERD

At The Village, we shepherd. We are calling forward the men and women who have walked some miles, learned some lessons, built some things, survived some things, mastered a craft, raised a family, led a team, served a community, grown in faith—and still have something to give.

At The Village, we shepherd. We are calling forward the men and women who have walked some miles, learned some lessons, built some things, survived some things, mastered a craft, raised a family, led a team, served a community, grown in faith—and still have something to give.

Scripture says, “With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.” (Job 12:12) That wisdom belongs in the room with the next generation.

We shepherd with integrity of heart and the skilfulness of our hands (Psalm 78:72). We teach. We encourage. We correct. We listen. We model what it means to work hard, keep your word, persevere, serve others, walk in discipline, and remain faithful.

Whether you are 35 or 85, working or retired, a professional or tradesperson, a parent, grandparent, entrepreneur, veteran, homemaker, coach, craftsman, or simply someone God has taught through life—there is a generation coming behind you that needs what you carry.

“Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come.” — Psalm 71:18

We do not let wisdom retire.

We pass it on.

We Shepherd.

Students train alongside Shepherds in our café, kitchen, and retail spaces.

We are developing them—training them up in discipline, humility, responsibility, communication, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.

They are taught to look people in the eye, listen carefully, work hard, solve problems, show gratitude, and serve others with excellence.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

Proverbs 22:6 KJV

Through service, students learn how to lead, how to follow, and how to faithfully carry responsibility—preparing them for meaningful work, strong relationships, and a life of purpose.

WE SOW

WE SERVE

At The Village, we sow into the Kingdom of God.

We teach students that what they plant with their time, gifts, resources, and compassion matters.

Together, we will pray, plan, and put our hands to work right here in Pittsburgh—feeding the hungry, clothing those in need, caring for our neighbors, and finding practical ways to strengthen our

Together, we will pray, plan, and put our hands to work right here in Pittsburgh—feeding the hungry, clothing those in need, caring for our neighbors, and finding practical ways to strengthen our community.

We are not storing up only what can be lost. We are teaching students to invest in what has eternal value.

“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” — Matthew 6:20 KJV

Jesus made it clear that how we care for others matters deeply to Him:

“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:” — Matthew 25:35 KJV

“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” — Matthew 25:40 KJV

Daily, our Steward program connects students with businesses, organizations, mentors, trades, colleges, athletic facilities, and community partners throughout the region.

Students explore careers, develop skills, gain experience, and discover opportunities that align with their interests, gifts, and future goals.

From business and technology to arts, athletics, trades, and entrepreneurship, Stewarding helps students learn to faithfully use what has been placed in their hands and connect what they are learning today to the life they are building for tomorrow.

“His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” — Matthew 25:21 KJV

Weekends at The Village are made for connection and fellowship.

Our Social Gatherings bring together students, families, and friends for good food, games, conversation, and genuine community.

Whether families are sharing a meal, students are building friendships, or neighbors are simply enjoying time together, we create space to slow down, laugh, encourage one another, and break bread together.

Scripture gives us a beautiful picture of this kind of community:

“And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.
And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” — Acts 2:44–47 KJV

The Village is more than a place to attend- it is a community to belong to, grow in, and pour into one another.
