At The Village, we connect students directly with businesses, universities, trades, organizations, and community leaders through meaningful career-exposure experiences—both on-site at The Village and off-site throughout the Pittsburgh region.

Our Steward program brings professionals into The Village to share their knowledge, industries, career paths, programs, and opportunities with students. 

We also bring students on-site to businesses, campuses, facilities, and organizations so they can see firsthand how things are done, meet the people behind the work, ask questions, and experience different environments in action.

Students come to learn, observe, explore, build connections, and be inspired. When those relationships naturally lead to internships, apprenticeships, mentorships, or future employment opportunities, even better.

Steward experiences may include:

• Career and industry presentations at The Village
• Workplace, campus, and facility visits
• Behind-the-scenes tours
• Employee and professional Q&A
• Hands-on demonstrations
• College, university, and trade-program exposure
• Internship, apprenticeship, and employment introductions

As a token of our appreciation, we will also create content from the experience and share your business, organization, program, or opportunity across The Village social pages—highlighting your work and your investment in the next generation.

Our goal is simple: expose students to more possibilities and connect them with the people, places, and opportunities that can help shape their future.
